A fire has engulfed three buildings at the intersection of Nnamdi Azikiwe and Docemo in Lagos’ Idumota neighborhood.
According to reports, the fire broke out around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, primarily affecting two two-story structures and one three-story building near the Idumota Market.
It is understood that the inferno ravaged numerous shops and warehouses, destroying merchandise worth millions of naira.
Margaret Adeseye, the director of the state rescue service, stated in a press release that the agency is currently unable to confirm the number of casualties or determine the cause of the fire.
Firefighters have been dispatched to the scene to contain the fire, and efforts are ongoing to prevent it from spreading.

“The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and efforts are underway to ascertain any potential casualties,” Adeseye stated.
